Two everyday fruits, the lemon and the lime, contain high
concentrates of acid-based enzymes that are able to pierce the
thick clumps of fat in foods you have just eaten, and fats that have
accumulated in your body, and help liquefy them and prepare them
for elimination.
Basic Guideline: If you are preparing to eat a meal that is
heavy in fat, your should peel and slice either one lemon or one
lime. Remove the seeds. You may even section or quarter the citrus
fruit. As you eat the high-fat meat food, also include a section of the
citrus fruit. Be sure to chew thoroughly. This alerts digestive en-
zymes to the task of dissolving the fat. At the same time, salivary
enzymes will help break down the fat in the food while you eat it.
But most important, the acid tart enzymes in the lemon or
lime fruit will create a “dynamite” dissolution of much of the fat
that you eat at the same time.
