Once your body is given a supercharging of enzymes, these
your endocrine glandular system so that an outpouring of hormones
catalysts are able to set off a series of biological reactions within
can transport important cortisone to your body sites where a natural
protective action against arthritis takes place.
Raw Food Enzymes Strengthen Bones. These raw food en-
zymes distribute cortisone and other related hormones to your bone
and fibrous connective tissues where strengthening is required. This
creates resistance to inflammation and swelling. The deposition of
enzyme-distributed cortisone will also offer a cooling effect, as well
as matrix (intercellular substance or cartilage) strengthening. This
action builds natural immunity to arthritis, stems the onset of
arthritis and helps reverse its progress. Eaten regularly, raw food
enzymes can strengthen your skeletal structure so you can free your-
self from arthritic pain.
Arthritis Healings Reported. Searching for a lasting healing,
a British physician used a raw food enzyme program that did more
than relieve swelling, reduce inflammation and restore flexibility to
formerly gnarled limbs. The raw food enzyme program promoted a
lasting healing!
Dorothy C. Hare, M.D., reporting to the medical journal,
Proceedings of the Royal Society of Medicine³, explains that she
supervised a number of her arthritic patients on this raw food
enzyme diet at the Royal Free Hospital in England. There were
many, many healings reported. This program can also be followed at home. It is:
Breakfast. Apple porridge made of grated apple, soaked raw oat-
meal, grated nuts, cream, fresh orange, tea with milk and cream.
Mid-morning. Tomato puree with lemon.
Dinner. Salad of lettuce, cabbage, tomato, root vegetables, oil-
based salad dressing, mixed fruit salad, cream.
Teatime. Dried fruits, nuts, tea with milk and cream.
Supper. Fruit porridge, prune, apricot or apple salad with dressing.
Bedtime. Orange-lemon juice in boiled water.
Basic Program: For two weeks, the entire diet consisted of
the preceding enzyme-rich foods. Then, certain cooked foods
(vegetable soup, one egg daily, two ounces of meat, two ounces of
bread, butter, cheese and milk) were added to the basic raw foods.
Guidelines. No salt was used for either raw or cooked foods.
The dried fruits and raw oatmeal were soaked in water. All vege-
tables were shredded. Nuts were either whole or chopped. All food
was prepared fresh for each meal. Servings were attractive.
